October 27, 2004

This magnificent night saw the freak happily among many friends at First Avenue's beloved Mainroom for a rave up freakified thunderstorm of a helluva show by the one & only Drive-By Truckers, who are quickly becoming many's new fave band (on a nat'l level even it seems). The DBTs have seen success with the release of 04's "The Dirty South" [see page 28] & touring among their loyal party bender contender following who see them as raging real life party going hard smoking heroes of rock. Some of the nuggets bestowed upon us that night were phenom from dark to light causing sonic numbers like "Decoration Day", "Carl Perkin's Cadillac", "Let There Be Rock" & "Road Cases". All the tunes were energetic & fun as some things that are currently illegal. Anytime you can catch this unbelievable Georgia band, you gotta go for it. You'll have the time of your life. So look for me while you're at it. Dance your freaking head off. Do a Drive-By today.
