October 29, 2004

With one of the freak’s dearest fave parties in da universe upon him, a no-brainer easily would link the scenescaping freak to the scene of the 19th annual Krewe of DADs’ “Sin is Inn” Halloween Fishhead bash this year at the Aragon Ballroom in the Holiday Inn Metrodome near 7 Corners starring the new orleans Radiators with special guest Mark Mullins on trombone (from Nola’s Bonerama & other dangerous bands). This was just the sinister start of yet another Halloween week-end freak-for-all in as always true fshhead funky style with freaks streaming into town from nearly everywhere as we encourage more every years slowly & subtly letting select others on to our much beloved little secret. The Rads, with style & scorch, rhapsidizingly percolated the Minny (our Minneapple with a bite out) holy fishhead prayergrounds in the form of the confines of the Aragon Ballroom. Both the stage & dancefloor were lit up with insane amounts of intoxicating swirling energies & surging excitements multiplying exponentially with the rhythm as well as the resulting unpredictable dance. The freak was greeted by countless intelligensia & other interesting freakness. Looking around I saw clever intellectual propery (no typo we were all elaborate props). Some of the songs that made me move & smile more than others were: 1st set: racy body throbbing mad medley “Hardcore” > “Pump It Up” > “Shake Your Body to thev Ground”, “Didn’t He Ramble?”, rambunctious “Denang”, “Waiting For the Rain” (timmy fave), “Crazy Mona” (freak fave) & in the 2nd set: soul sonic “Sylvie”, game on “Jack o’ Diamonds”, stone tonic “I’ve Got a Feeling” > “Into the Mystic”, “Early Bird Cafe” & “Lovely You”. As the treux funky Dr.John might say this twas “such a night!”.
